Allahabad - Teertharaj
Allahabad now Prayagraj is also known as Teertharaj. is considered one of the holiest pilgrimage centres of India. The Kumbh mela held in four sacred places of India and Prayagraj is one of them. A city of many dimensions is what befits the description of Prayagraj. In addition to being a major pilgrimage centre, the city has played an important part in the formation of modern India. This land, on the confluence of three holy rivers -
- Ganga
- Yamuna
- Saraswati
blessed by gods, came to be known as Prayagraj.

Varanasi
Varanasi is an ancient city on the banks of the River Ganges. Varanasi is believed to have been the home of Lord Shiva. It is one of the most sacred sites in India. Some Hindus believe that the River Ganges pays its respects to Lord Shiva by the direction in which it flows.
Some Hindus believe that if they die at Varanasi, they might be able to attain moksha (salvation). Because of this, some Hindus go there when they are close to death in order to die there. Others have their ashes scattered there by relatives. A feature of the landscape at Varanasi is the cremation ghats that line the banks of the Ganges.There are lots of mandir in Varanasi, dedicated to Lord Shiva and other deities.

Ayodhya
Ayodhya is a city situated on the banks of holy river Saryu in the Indian state of U.P. It is the Birth place of Lord Ram setting of the great epic Ramayana. It is the seven most sacred places of Hinduism.

Chitrakoot
According to the great epic Ramayana, Lord Rama stayed here with his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman for 11 years out of the 14 years of his exile. Some of the famous sages like Dattatreya, Sarbhanga, Markandeya, Atri and many other pilgrims and philosophers have carried out meditation here. It is a town where the past is pleasingly treasured in its colorful divine centers, while the serene rivers, peaceful woods and miraculous sights together make it a significant place for Hindus.
